Calving 2023 is done!

7 calves, 4 heifers and 3 bull calves.

First year we have calved Wagyu as well as Dexters and we can't get over just how beautiful they are. Definitely bigger, much longer legs but the Wagyu are proving to be  excellent mothers. We were concerned with milk production to begin with but as time has gone on, they seem to be producing enough to fulfill their calves. We have one mother that stands out the most. Maiko. She sits with her calf constantly not leaving his side. She's attentive, follows him everywhere and just how you'd want them to be. Now to enjoy watching them and make preparations as we head into autumn and to start planning our breeding lines for next year.
